Where It All Began

A Winter Day. A Simple Gift. A Spark of Change.

It was just another winter day in Newfoundland, Canada, back in January 2020.


My mom had just come back from work and was in the kitchen wrapped in her usual cozy layers, when I quietly took a photo of her, mid-motion (the second photo). She still doesn’t know I have that picture. 😅

 

Not long after that moment, something happened. A box had arrived from the United States. My uncle had gifted her an Apple Watch — something she’d always admired but never thought we could afford at the time.

And the shift was immediate.


As a health-conscious physician and a mom who spent nearly two decades caring for others, she suddenly had a tool that reminded her to care for herself. She tracked her health. Her steps. Her sleep. It lit something in her; more confidence and motivation.

That moment stayed with me.

 

Fast forward to the end of 2024, scrolling through pictures of that day. I couldn’t stop thinking:
Why should something so small and powerful only be accessible to those with money to spare?
Why can’t wellness tech be made for everyone?

That was the seed.
And from it, Trevit was born.

Who We Are Now

Hi, I’m Chérie, and I created Trevit with a deep belief that people deserve quality tech without the price tag of exclusivity.

 

Alongside running Trevit, I’m also the founder of Audit by Chérie, where I help businesses refine their websites and back-end systems for better customer experiences. With a background in web development, customer experience, and business management, I’m obsessed with efficiency, but even more so with people.
